When The Going Gets Tough...The Tough Get Going.

Well, here we are at the end of March and, although the calendar claims it to be spring, we wouldn't know it here in Oswego, NY!

Winter's grip seems to loosen from time to time, but overall it is still frigid!  

The fishing on the Salmon River remains a challenge, but we've been making it work.  Although the weather has been anything but brilliant, the crowds during the weekends don't reflect that!  The ticket has been simple....grind, grind and then grind a bit more.

Lately, a mix of Trick Em Plastics and Jigs have been key producers, with roe and Trick Em Beads thrown into the mix as well.

In short, It's pretty darn easy to suck on the Salmon River right now if you don't have a clue.

But!  Brighter times ahead!  Inevitably  spring will pop, we'll get a bump in water flow and frozen fingers will be a thing of the past.

Also, an update on my calendar!  I have a few days left in the first 2 weeks of April if you have the itch.  

May's calendar continues to fill with Brown Trout charters aboard the Dixie Dandy as well, prime dates are still available though!
