Another Salmon Season Passes, Another Steelhead Season Arrives!
The breeze has cooled, the leaves have turned and we are about to begin our November. As usual, September and October flew right by.
Lake Ontario's salmon season here on the Salmon River was a bit of a grind, and that's OK. It took a little effort and perseverance every single day on the water to put together our catches, but this made it that much sweeter when we did.. Some trips were easier than others, but every trip was enjoyed, and that's what it's all about.
In other news...feisty steelhead have found their way into our waters. I have targeted nothing but our silvery friends for a little more than a week. Oh, did I miss them!
I am incredibly encouraged by what I've seen so far. There does seem to be a fair number of fish, especially considering it to be late October. I am looking forward to a busy November.
So, enjoy some photos I've managed to snap.
Also, I would like to update every one to my schedule. Right now I have had November 22, 23 and 24 open up. I also have plenty of open days in the Second week of December. If you'd like to hit the water, don't wait, shoot me an email or call!
See ya out there.
