Plugging Away Through Salmon Season

Here we are, right in the middle of salmon season 2015!

It's been a fun, interesting and, at times, challenging month. So far anyways!

There are salmon to be caught, whether it be in the tributaries or lake, the trick has been making the right call day-to-day.  We have been able to put together good days on the rivers via back-trolling lures and float fishing skein, as well as trolling at night on Lake Ontario.

I expect the next three weeks of chasing after kings to only improve, every day the number of kings increases in our tributaries. 

Although salmon season is abound, don't think steelhead fishing isn't tugging on my thoughts.  I can't wait for the first float drop and thrash from our silvery friends.  The leaves are changing and the chrome is coming!  For those of you who have booked their days, I can't wait.
