Oswego, NY Fishing Is Heating Up!
Our end of Lake Ontario in Oswego, NY has had excellent fishing!
Opportunities have been plentiful for brown trout inshore, but I have to admit, the chance at spring king salmon has drawn me a touch further offshore. As a matter of fact, the past few days would indicate an even larger number of salmon have shown up.
As usual on the Dixie Dandy, staying a touch outside the pressured areas has been the ticket, while exploring an array of depths.
A mixed bag of spoons has been the most successful offering, Michigan Stinger Tux, NBK, Diehard and the occasional Chicken Wing have all been producers.
Keeping a wide spread of rods that covers many fishing depths keeps fish hitting the deck also, as we do not have a thermocline yet.
I can't tell you how excited I am to fish the coming months, it should keep getting better!
We still have many prime dates available in June, July and August, but they are going fast! Come enjoy what Lake Ontario has to offer and don't just read the fishing report, make it!
See ya out there!
