Oswego, NY fishing is officially rocking right now!

Sure, we have some tough days mixed in, but all things considered, the fishing is fun.  An awesome mixed catch is being put together between king salmon, brown trout and the occasional lake trout and steelhead.

The keys to success for the Dixie Dandy have been to find your preferred water temperature (as it has been on the move lately) then alter your lure choice and presentation to fit accordingly.  As usual, A-TOM-MIK Hammer Flies have been doing most of the damage in some form or another, typically behind a version of a white E-chip in lower light conditions and chrome in the elevated light conditions.

It has also been key to include spoons in your presentation as well, especially in dealing with preferred temperature higher in the water column.  Throw a few "junk" leadcore rods into your program and see what happens.

The fishing should only get better and better as we make our way through the remainder of July and into August.  The Dixie Dandy has a handful of prime dates available throughout, so don't wait...book one!

Speaking of booking days, keep in mind I am booking up September night trolling for salmon, October salmon trips on the river and November/December steelhead trips.  Please take care to insure your dates so we can hit the water!
